Venezuela Needs Us

Devastating twin earthquakes of magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 struck northern Venezuela on June 24, heavily impacting the capital of Caracas and devastating the coastal state of La Guaira. The back-to-back «doublet» quakes struck near the active San Sebastián and Boconó fault systems, which geologists warned had accumulated decades of seismic strain.

In the La Guaira state, structural damage was severe, with roughly 80% of buildings collapsing in some areas. Currently, official tallies report at least 4,118 fatalities, over 16,700 injuries, and tens of thousands of people displaced from their homes. The disaster has severely exacerbated a pre-existing humanitarian crisis in the country. Overwhelmed local hospitals, power outages, and infrastructure damage slowed early rescue operations, leaving many communities to rely on volunteers and international rescue teams.

News & Updates:

Memphis – July 9, 2026

In just two weeks, thanks to your generosity, we have collected more than 20 tons of humanitarian aid and raised over $5,000 to strengthen our humanitarian response for those most affected in Venezuela.

As part of our commitment to transparency, every physical and monetary donation has been carefully documented and recorded from day one. We believe trust is built through accountability, and we will continue providing clear updates as this mission progresses.

Our current priority is coordinating the logistics to deliver this aid to Venezuela. To make this possible, we are working alongside strategic partners including Expeditors International, Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), and partner organizations in Arkansas, while continuing to develop additional solutions that will expand the reach of this humanitarian response.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Ale Crespo Studio & Suites, Home Dash Outlet and its CEO Jader Zatar, El Mercadito de Memphis and its CEO Don Juan Hernández, and BYS Factory for believing in this mission and helping make this impact possible.

None of this would be possible without the commitment of everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared our initiative, or connected Amigo Community Center with new partners. Every contribution, regardless of its size, has played an essential role in this effort.

We remain committed to serving with responsibility, transparency, and compassion as we continue working to bring hope to those who need it most.

Thank you for believing in this mission. Venezuela needs us, and together we are proving that compassion knows no borders.
